No, these shoes are not fully waterproof. They feature a water-repellent mesh upper designed to shed splashes and light moisture, helping to keep your feet drier in damp conditions, but they are not suitable for heavy rain or submersion.
While you can, the Runfalcon 5 TR is specifically engineered for off-road trails and uneven terrain. The lugged Adiwear outsole provides superior grip on natural surfaces but may feel less efficient and could wear faster on smooth pavement compared to dedicated road running shoes.
Brush off loose dirt and mud. For deeper cleaning, hand wash with cold water and a mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Air dry them completely at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat.
These shoes excel on a variety of off-road surfaces including park trails, gravel paths, light forest trails, and uneven natural terrains where grip and stability are important.
Cloudfoam is adidas' proprietary EVA foam compound that provides soft, plush cushioning. It's designed to offer superior comfort and shock absorption, making your runs more enjoyable, especially over varied terrain.
The lugged Adiwear outsole provides excellent grip on various surfaces, including damp trails and uneven terrain. However, no shoe can guarantee perfect traction on extremely slick or icy surfaces.
The Runfalcon 5 TR features a water-repellent upper, which is designed to shed splashes and light moisture. It is not fully waterproof. For heavy rain, deep puddles, or prolonged exposure to wet conditions, consider pairing them with waterproof socks or choosing fully waterproof footwear.
These shoes are designed with a lugged Adiwear outsole for optimal grip on uneven trails. This outsole pattern can feel less efficient and may wear faster on hard, flat surfaces like pavement compared to dedicated road running shoes. For predominantly road running, a shoe with a smoother outsole might be more suitable.
Ensure your shoes are properly laced – not too tight or too loose. Break in new shoes with shorter runs before attempting long distances. Confirm you have the correct size and consider trying different running socks. If discomfort persists, assess your gait and consult with a running specialist to ensure the shoe type matches your biomechanics.
