No, these are specialized indoor court trainers designed for lateral support and stability rather than the forward motion and cushioning required for long-distance running.
These shoes follow standard UK sizing for women. It is recommended to have about a thumbnail's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe.
Yes, the stock insoles can typically be removed if you need to insert your own custom orthotics.
It is not recommended to machine wash your ASICS trainers as the heat and agitation can degrade the cushioning and structural components.
The Gel Rocket 12 provides lateral stability to prevent rolling your ankle during side-to-side moves, whereas running shoes are designed primarily for linear, forward-motion impact.
The outsole may have accumulated dust; wipe the rubber soles with a slightly damp cloth to restore tackiness.
Check your lace tension; ensure the laces are not pulled too tight across the instep and consider a runner's loop if you experience heel slippage.
To ensure the best performance, ensure you are wearing appropriate athletic socks when trying on your shoes. Because these trainers are designed for indoor court performance, avoid wearing them on pavement or gravel, as debris can damage the rubber grip. After heavy use, clean the outsoles with a damp, soft cloth to remove dust and maintain traction. Always air-dry your shoes at room temperature away from direct heat sources, which can warp the materials or damage the adhesive bonds in the sole.
