The Altra Olympus 7 hiking shoes are engineered for adult nature enthusiasts who demand a balance of comfort and technical performance on the trail. These shoes feature a signature ergonomic design that mirrors the natural shape of the foot, encouraging better posture and a more efficient stride during long-distance treks. While the high-quality cushioning provides exceptional shock absorption, prospective users should note that the unique zero-drop platform and foot-shaped toe box may require an adjustment period if you are transitioning from traditional hiking footwear.

The Olympus 7 is designed for breathability and comfort. They are not explicitly advertised as waterproof, so expect them to get wet in heavy rain or deep puddles.
Yes, the insole is removable, allowing you to replace it with your own custom orthotic inserts if needed.
Hand wash with a soft brush, mild soap, and lukewarm water. Never put them in a dryer, as high heat can damage the midsole foam.
Many hikers prefer a half-size larger to accommodate foot swelling during long treks, but the Olympus 7 already offers a generous, spacious fit.
While designed primarily for hiking, the cushioning and traction features make them versatile enough for light trail running or fast-hiking.
This is common when transitioning to natural-stride footwear; start with shorter walks to allow your lower leg muscles to adjust to the platform.
The wide fit is intentional for natural toe splay. Try adjusting your lacing technique to better secure the midfoot.
Use a stiff-bristled brush to clear debris from the lugs once the mud has dried to restore grip.
To get the most out of your Altra Olympus 7 shoes, ensure you select the correct UK size for your specific foot measurements. Since the toe box is wider than standard footwear, it is recommended to wear them around the house for short periods to adapt to the fit before embarking on long, technical hikes. For care, avoid machine washing or drying. After muddy or dusty outings, remove the insoles and gently clean the exterior with a soft brush and lukewarm water. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to preserve the integrity of the cushioning foam.
