While they feature performance-inspired technology, they are designed as lifestyle trainers and are not recommended for long-distance running or intense athletic training.
The sizes listed are in standard UK adult sizing. It is recommended to select your usual size, as they follow standard ASICS sizing conventions.
Machine washing is not recommended as it can compromise the cushioning materials and glues; hand cleaning is the safest method.
The Utility series typically indicates a build focused on enhanced durability and rugged materials suitable for various urban environments.
The Gel-NYC series features a supportive midsole design that accommodates a variety of foot types, though custom orthotics can be swapped in if needed.
Wear the shoes indoors for short periods to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape naturally.
Use a dry soft brush to remove loose debris, followed by a damp cloth with mild detergent if necessary.
Ensure they are laced tightly through all eyelets and consider using a double knot for extra security.
To maximize the lifespan of your ASICS Gel-NYC Utility trainers, ensure you choose the correct size based on your standard adult UK measurement. Because these are unisex models, verify the specific MPN (1203B226-020) if replacing an existing pair to ensure an identical fit. For daily care, keep the trainers away from excessive heat sources to preserve the structural integrity of the Gel components. If the mesh or synthetic upper becomes dirty, gently clean them using a soft-bristled brush, mild soap, and lukewarm water. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature, as placing them in a dryer can damage the adhesive and cushioning materials.
