Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best results, start with a surface that has been sanded to remove any previous coatings. If the wood still has a protective seal, the stain will bead up or run off.
- Preparation: Sand the timber thoroughly. Ensure the surface is free from dust, dirt, and grease.
- Application: Stir the product well before use. Apply evenly along the grain using a high-quality brush or lint-free cloth.
- Build: If a darker shade is desired, allow the first coat to dry completely before applying a second coat.
- Care: Once the stain is fully dry, it is highly recommended to protect the finished surface with a suitable topcoat, such as a wax or varnish, to ensure long-term durability in high-traffic areas.
