Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Before You Begin:
- Prepare the Room: Clear out furniture or move it to the center of the room and cover with plastic sheeting or old sheets.
- Protect Surfaces: Lay down drop cloths or old newspapers on the floor and other surfaces you want to protect.
- Clean Walls: Dust and clean walls and ceilings thoroughly. Remove any grease or stains. For glossy surfaces, a light sanding can improve adhesion.
- Fill & Sand: Fill any cracks or holes with appropriate filler and sand smooth once dry.
- Tape Edges: Use painter's tape to protect trim, windows, and light fixtures.
Compatibility
This paint is specifically formulated for interior walls and ceilings. It is compatible with a range of common indoor surfaces including plaster, drywall, and previously painted surfaces. Avoid using on floors, furniture, or exterior surfaces.
Care
Cleaning Painted Surfaces:
- Allow the paint to fully cure (usually a few weeks) before attempting to clean.
- For light marks, gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh scrubbing as this can burnish or damage the matt finish.
- Use mild soap if necessary, but rinse thoroughly.
Tool Care:
- Clean brushes and rollers immediately after use with warm, soapy water.
- Rinse thoroughly until all paint residue is gone, then reshape and allow to dry.
Paint Storage:
- Store any leftover paint in its original container, ensuring the lid is tightly sealed.
- Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and frost.
- Properly stored, paint can last for several months to a year or more.
