FAQs

What kind of playing surfaces are these boots suitable for?

These boots feature an 'MG' (Multi-Ground) outsole, which means they are suitable for both natural grass (firm ground) and various types of artificial turf pitches.

Should I order my regular shoe size, or something different?

Nike recommends ordering a half size up from your usual size if you prefer a slightly more comfortable fit, due to the snug design of these boots.

Are these boots made with sustainable materials?

Yes, these Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Club MG sneakers are responsibly designed and incorporate recycled materials from industrial and/or post-consumer waste.

How do I clean and care for my boots?

After each use, brush off loose dirt and wipe with a damp cloth. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. Remove insoles to air out and consider using a shoe deodorizer.

What is the primary benefit of the snug fit?

The snug fit is designed to enhance ball control and feel, bringing your foot closer to the ball for more precise touches, passes, and shots.

Troubleshooting

Boots feel too tight or uncomfortable, even after breaking in.

The design is snug. If discomfort persists, consider that you might need a half-size larger. For initial tightness, wear them for short periods around the house to help them mold to your feet.

Lack of grip on the playing surface.

Ensure you are using the boots on compatible surfaces (natural grass or artificial turf). Check the studs for wear or damage. Excessive mud can also reduce grip; clean the outsole thoroughly.

Boots have an unpleasant odor.

Remove insoles after each use and allow both insoles and boots to air dry completely. Use a shoe deodorizer spray or place baking soda inside the boots overnight to absorb odors and moisture.

Material appears to be cracking or stiffening.

This often occurs from improper drying. Always air dry away from direct heat. Apply a suitable boot conditioner (if applicable to the material, otherwise ensure proper cleaning) to maintain material flexibility.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Versatile Traction: The MG sole allows for seamless play across different pitch types, from natural grass to artificial turf.
  • Enhanced Ball Control: The snug fit is crafted to bring your foot closer to the ball, aiding in precise touches and control.
  • Sustainable Choice: Incorporates recycled content, contributing to a more environmentally friendly product.
  • Comfort-Focused Design: Part of the Tiempo Legend series, known for a comfortable and adaptive fit.

Cons

  • Sizing Adjustment Recommended: Due to the snug fit, ordering a half size up is advised for some users, which may require careful consideration during purchase.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup

  1. Try On for Fit: Before first use, try on the boots with your usual football socks. Remember the recommendation to consider ordering a half size up if you prefer a less snug fit.
  2. Lacing: Ensure laces are tied securely but not overly tight. A proper lacing technique will help optimize comfort and support.

Compatibility

  • Playing Surfaces: The 'MG' (Multi-Ground) outsole is compatible with both natural grass fields (firm ground) and various types of artificial turf surfaces. Avoid using on indoor courts or extremely hard surfaces, as this can damage the studs and reduce grip.
  • Foot Type: Designed for adult male feet. The snug fit is generally accommodating but may require a size adjustment for wider feet.

Care

  1. Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each game or training session, remove excess mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. This prevents dirt from hardening and damaging the material.
  2. Gentle Washing: If necessary, you can lightly rinse the boots with water. Avoid submerging them or using harsh chemicals, which can degrade the materials.
  3. Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators, hair dryers, or direct sunlight, as this can cause the material to crack, shrink, or become brittle.
  4. Odor Control: Remove insoles after use to allow them to air out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside to absorb moisture and odors.
  5. Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid storing them in plastic bags, as this can trap moisture and promote bacterial growth.
