Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your Puma King Ultimate boots, the primary setup involves lacing them to your preferred tightness. Ensure a snug fit without being overly restrictive to allow for natural foot movement and prevent discomfort. It's recommended to wear them for short periods initially to break them in and adapt to their feel.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means they perform optimally on natural grass pitches that are dry and relatively hard. Using them on soft, muddy pitches or artificial turf (AG) may reduce performance and could lead to accelerated wear or injury. They are designed for adult male players, available in various UK sizes, including UK 8.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your Puma King Ultimate boots, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the K-BETTER upper. Wipe the studs clean.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can cause the material to crack or deform. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage. Avoid storing them in damp or humid environments.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the studs for wear or damage. While the K-BETTER material is durable, consistent cleaning and proper drying will maintain its flexibility and appearance.
