Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Puma King Ultimate boots is straightforward. Simply slip your foot into the boot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated in the heel counter. Adjust the laces from bottom to top, tightening them to achieve a secure yet comfortable fit across your midfoot. Ensure there's no excessive movement inside the boot but also no uncomfortable pressure points. Tie the laces securely to prevent them from coming undone during play. It's recommended to wear your usual football socks when trying on and breaking in your new boots.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered with moulded conical studs for optimal performance on firm ground (FG) football pitches. This refers to natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. While they may offer some grip on other surfaces like artificial grass (AG), their design is not optimized for it, and using them on inappropriate surfaces may lead to accelerated wear, reduced performance, or potential injury. For dedicated use on artificial grass or soft ground, consider boots designed for those specific surfaces.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your Puma King Ultimate boots:
- After Each Use: Remove any loose mud or dirt from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or a damp cloth.
- Cleaning: For stubborn dirt, wipe the K-BETTER upper gently with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive scrubbers.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never place them near direct heat sources like radiators, heaters, or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials and cause them to crack or stiffen.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your football boots, as this will severely damage them and void any warranty.
