Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting your boots ready is straightforward. Simply lace them up to achieve a snug, comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what best supports your foot shape and playing style. A well-laced boot ensures maximum lockdown and responsiveness.
Compatibility
These MG (Multi-Ground) boots are compatible with a range of football surfaces:
- Natural Grass (Firm Ground): Performs well on dry to slightly damp natural grass pitches.
- Artificial Turf (AG): Provides effective traction on modern artificial grass pitches.
Avoid using MG boots on extremely soft, muddy natural grass or very hard, abrasive surfaces like concrete, as this can damage the studs and reduce performance.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your leather football boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, wipe off all dirt and debris with a damp cloth. Use a soft brush for stubborn mud on the soleplate and studs.
- Remove Insole: Take out the insoles to allow them to air out separately and prevent odor buildup.
- Air Dry: Let your boots air dry naturally at room temperature. Never place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a specialized leather conditioner to keep the leather soft and supple, preventing drying and cracking. Follow the conditioner product instructions.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
