Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
First Use & Break-In
Upon receiving your Nike Phantom GX 2 Elite AG boots, we recommend a short break-in period. Wear them for light training sessions or walks before competitive matches to allow the materials to mold to your foot shape. This ensures maximum comfort and fit.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Artificial Grass (AG) surfaces. The stud configuration is optimized for traction, pressure distribution, and durability on modern synthetic pitches. Using them on natural grass, firm ground (FG), or soft ground (SG) can lead to accelerated wear, damage to the studs, and potential injury.
Proper Fit
- Wear your game socks: Always try on the boots with the socks you typically wear during play to ensure an accurate fit.
- Snug, not tight: The boots should feel snug around your foot without causing uncomfortable pressure points or numbness. Your toes should lightly brush the end.
- Heel lock: Your heel should feel securely locked in place with minimal slippage.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning After Each Use: After every session, gently brush off any loose dirt, rubber pellets, or debris from the outsole and upper using a soft brush or cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a damp cloth with mild soap.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag, to protect them from dust and damage. Do not store them in sealed plastic bags for extended periods, as this can trap moisture.
- Stud Inspection: Regularly check the studs for wear or damage. While designed for AG, excessive wear can occur over time.
