To keep your jacket in peak condition, ensure you follow the care label instructions. Generally, you should machine wash the garment on a gentle cycle in cool water. Avoid using harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can compromise the waterproof coating. To maintain the loft of the padding, hang the jacket to air dry rather than using a high-heat tumble dryer. Check the zipper and fasteners regularly to ensure they remain clear of debris. Because the hood is detachable, it is recommended to store it in a specific pocket if removed so it does not get misplaced during school or travel.
