FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for stability runners?

No, the Novablast 6 is engineered specifically for neutral and underpronation runners.

What is the primary benefit of the FF TURBO SQUARED pod?

The pod acts like a trampoline in the forefoot to maximize energy return and create a more energized bounce during toe-off.

Can I use these for trail running?

These shoes are designed for road and paved surfaces; while they offer great traction, they lack the protection and grip required for rugged, technical trails.

How do I clean the woven upper?

Use a soft brush to remove loose dirt and a damp cloth with mild soap for spot cleaning. Avoid submerging the shoes in water.

What material is used for the high-wear areas of the outsole?

The shoe utilizes AHAR LO rubber in critical areas to enhance overall durability and wear resistance.

Does the shoe provide a soft landing?

Yes, the FF BLAST MAX foam is designed to offer a soft, cushioned landing for neutral runners.

Troubleshooting

Tongue shifting during runs

Ensure the laces are threaded properly through the tongue loop to leverage the tongue wing construction for a secure fit.

Upper feels restrictive

Loosen the lacing system starting from the bottom eyelets to adjust the tension across the woven upper.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent energy return during toe-off
Highly breathable upper material
Secure midfoot fit provided by the tongue wing
Enhanced durability in high-wear zones
Lightweight feel with responsive cushioning

Cons

Not intended for runners who need significant arch support
May feel too bouncy for those preferring a ground-connected feel
Limited to neutral and underpronation gaits

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Asics Novablast 6 shoes provide the best experience, ensure you have selected your correct UK size for a neutral fit. The shoes are designed primarily for neutral and underpronation runners; verify your gait type before long-term use. To care for your trainers, keep them away from excessive heat sources like radiators, as high temperatures can degrade the foam's performance. Clean them by wiping away mud or debris with a damp cloth and allow them to air dry in a well-ventilated space out of direct sunlight. Remove the sock liner to air it out separately if the shoes become damp from intense activity.
