FAQs
What does 'TF' in the product name mean?
The 'TF' stands for 'Turf Football,' indicating that these boots are specifically designed with an outsole optimized for traction and performance on artificial turf surfaces.
Can these boots be used on natural grass pitches?
While technically possible, these boots are not recommended for natural grass. Their outsole pattern is designed for artificial turf, and they may not provide optimal grip or could wear down faster on natural ground.
How do I determine the correct size for my child?
It's best to consult the adidas size guide, which provides measurements for foot length. Ideally, have your child try on the boots with the type of socks they typically wear for football to ensure a comfortable and secure fit, leaving a small gap (about a thumb's width) at the toe.
Are these boots waterproof?
The durable synthetic upper offers some resistance to moisture, but the boots are not fully waterproof. They are designed to withstand typical playing conditions on artificial turf but are not intended for heavy rain or prolonged submersion.
How should I clean and maintain these boots?
Wipe the synthetic upper with a damp cloth after each use to remove dirt. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Avoid machine washing or drying.
Are these boots suitable for indoor football (futsal)?
These TF boots are designed for artificial turf, which is an outdoor surface. For traditional indoor football (futsal) on hard courts, specific indoor (IC) shoes with flat, non-marking outsoles are generally more appropriate for optimal grip and performance.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel too tight or uncomfortable.
Ensure you have the correct size. Try wearing thinner socks initially. New synthetic boots often require a short break-in period; wear them for shorter sessions to allow them to conform to your feet. If discomfort persists, re-evaluate sizing.
Slipping on artificial turf.
Ensure the outsole is clean and free of mud or debris that could reduce grip. Check the condition of the artificial turf itself, as wear on the pitch can affect traction. While these boots are designed for artificial turf, extreme wet conditions can still reduce grip.
Boots developing an unpleasant odor.
After each use, remove the insoles and allow the boots to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture. Consider using boot deodorizing sprays or sachets specifically designed for footwear.
Upper material is peeling or cracking.
This can sometimes occur from improper drying (e.g., exposure to direct heat) or excessive wear. Ensure you are following the recommended care instructions, particularly regarding drying. For minor issues, shoe repair adhesives might offer a temporary fix, but significant damage may indicate the need for new boots.
Pros and Cons
Pros

- Durable Construction: Synthetic upper ensures the boots can endure intense junior play.
- Optimal Artificial Turf Traction: Rubber outsole is engineered for superior grip on synthetic pitches.

- Visually Appealing: The purple colourway offers a stylish look on the field.
Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your F50 Club TF boots is straightforward:
- Unpack: Remove the boots from their packaging.
- Lace Up: Ensure laces are threaded correctly and tie them securely to achieve a snug, comfortable fit.
- Break-In: Like all new footwear, these boots may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow them to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Surfaces: These boots are specifically designed for Artificial Turf (TF) surfaces. This includes 3G and 4G synthetic pitches. While they might offer some grip on other surfaces, optimal performance and traction are guaranteed on artificial turf. They are not recommended for natural grass (FG) or firm ground (FG) pitches, or polished indoor courts (IC).
- Wear: Suitable for both training and competitive matches on appropriate surfaces.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the life of your boots and maintains their performance:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy or dusty pitches, wipe down the synthetic upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your boots, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators), which can cause materials to crack or shrink.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, remove insoles and let them air out. You can also use boot deodorizers or stuff boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and odors.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures when not in use.
