Full details
The ASICS Gel-Cumulus 27 is an ideal neutral running shoe designed for female runners who prioritize comfort and versatility during daily endurance training or casual runs. FAQs
Is the ASICS Gel-Cumulus 27 suitable for flat feet?
As a neutral shoe, it is best suited for those with neutral arches. If you have severe flat feet or require corrective support, you may want to consult a specialist or consider an insole.
Can I wear these for gym workouts?
Yes, they are versatile enough for treadmill running and general gym training, though they are primarily engineered for forward-motion running.
How many miles can I expect these to last?
Typically, you can expect between 400 to 500 miles, depending on your running surface, body weight, and gait.
Are these shoes waterproof?
No, the jacquard mesh is designed for breathability, meaning it will allow water to pass through if stepped in puddles.
Are the insoles removable?
Yes, the sockliner is removable, allowing you to insert your own custom orthotics if required.
Troubleshooting
Feeling pressure points on the top of the foot
Try adjusting your lacing pattern to a 'window' or 'gap' lacing technique to relieve tension on the midfoot.
Foot slipping inside the shoe
Use the 'runner's loop' or heel-lock lacing method to secure the heel cup more firmly against your ankle.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longest lifespan for your Gel-Cumulus 27 trainers, keep these maintenance tips in mind:
- Sizing: These shoes fit standard UK sizing; ensure there is about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe.
- Break-in: While comfortable out of the box, perform a few shorter 3-5km runs to allow the mesh and midsole foam to adapt to your specific foot shape.
- Cleaning: Remove surface dirt with a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can degrade the GEL™ and foam components.
- Air Drying: Always air dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent material warping.
