FAQs

Are these candles safe to use indoors?

While the candles are designed for outdoor use and are waterproof, they can also be used indoors. They provide a safe, flameless alternative to real candles.

How long do the batteries typically last?

You can expect up to 180 hours of illumination time from a set of batteries before they need refreshing. This duration can vary based on usage and battery quality.

Can I adjust the timer duration?

No, the timer is fixed at a 6-hour cycle. The candles will turn on automatically for 6 hours and then switch off.

What is the difference between the black and white versions?

The primary difference is the color of the candle casing. Functionality, size, and features remain consistent across variants.

How do I clean the candles?

Gently wipe the candles with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials to maintain the finish and integrity of the waterproof seal.

Do I need to bring these inside during winter?

These candles are designed for year-round outdoor use and are fully waterproof. However, for optimal longevity, storing them indoors during harsh winter conditions is recommended.

Can I use rechargeable C batteries?

Yes, you can use rechargeable C batteries. Please ensure they are fully charged and inserted correctly. Note that the expected illumination time may differ from standard alkaline batteries.

Troubleshooting

Candles do not turn on.

Ensure batteries are correctly inserted with the proper polarity. Check that fresh C batteries are installed, as depleted batteries may prevent operation. Verify the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.

The timer function is not working.

Confirm that the switch is set to the timer position (often indicated by a timer symbol or specific setting). Ensure the batteries have sufficient charge, as low battery power can affect timer operation.

Flickering flame appears weak or inconsistent.

This usually indicates low battery power. Replace all C batteries in the affected candle(s) with new ones. Ensure battery contacts are clean.

Candles are not waterproof as expected.

Check that the battery compartment cover is securely closed and sealed. While rated IP44, prolonged submersion or direct high-pressure water spray may compromise the seals. Wipe dry immediately if they become excessively wet.
