Renovate and transform furniture with Rainbow Chalk’s Furniture Paint. This water-based paint offers a matt finish and has virtually no odour. It can be applied directly onto wood (bare or painted), brick, stone, plaster, or any suitably primed rigid surface such as metal or plastic. To achieve a distressed look, apply two coats in contrasting colours and then sand or score when dry. Preparation: For best results, ensure the surface is clean and free from wax or oil. If wax has been used, clean the surface thoroughly with white spirit. We recommend sanding bare wood before painting. Application: Stir thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush or roller, following the grain of the wood if using a brush. For a distressed effect, apply two coats in contrasting colours, allow to dry, then lightly abrade with moistened sandpaper or a stainless steel scoring pad, working with the wood grain. Coverage: Up to 12m² per litre, though this may vary based on application method, rate, and surface porosity. Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour, handleable after 2 hours. Apply a second coat after 2 hours if needed. Full hardness is achieved after 3 hours. Clean Up: Use water. Do not empty into drains or water courses. This 2.5L Antique Champagne Furniture Paint is ideal for creating the Shabby Chic style. It requires no primer and can be applied directly to bare wood, metal, plastic, brick, stone, or plaster, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
