Full details
Renovate and transform furniture with Rainbow Chalk’s Furniture Paint. This water-based paint offers a matt finish and has virtually no odour. It can be applied directly onto wood (bare or painted), brick, stone, plaster, or any suitably primed rigid surface like metal or plastic. Achieve a distressed look by applying two coats in contrasting colours, then sanding or scoring when dry. This product comes in a 1-litre tin. For best results, ensure the surface is clean and free from wax or oil; clean with white spirit if necessary. Sanding bare wood before painting is recommended. Stir thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush or roller, following the grain if painting wood. For a distressed effect, apply two coats in contrasting colours, allow to dry, then lightly abrade with moistened sandpaper or a stainless steel scoring pad, working with the grain. Coverage is up to 12m² per litre, varying with application method and surface porosity. Drying times: touch dry in 1 hour, handleable after 2 hours, second coat possible after 2 hours, full hardness achieved in 3 hours. Clean up with water; do not empty into drains or water courses.
