Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- First Fit: When first trying on your new Mercurial Superfly 10 boots, ensure you wear the type of socks you typically play in. The Dynamic Fit collar is designed to be snug; gently pull it up over your ankle.
- Lacing: Lace your boots firmly but not uncomfortably tight. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you find pressure points. Ensure your heel is locked in place to prevent blistering.
- Break-in Period: Like all high-performance football boots, a short break-in period is recommended. Wear them during light training sessions or for short periods before a full match to allow the NIKESKIN upper to mold to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG/MG (Firm Ground/Multi-Ground) soleplate, making them compatible with:
- Natural Grass Pitches: Specifically designed for firm, natural grass surfaces. The stud configuration provides optimal grip without causing excessive pressure.
- Artificial Grass Pitches: Suitable for modern artificial grass (3G/4G) surfaces. The multi-ground studs are designed to avoid excessive stud pressure and provide traction without getting stuck.
*Avoid using these boots on extremely hard ground, concrete, or indoor surfaces, as this can damage the studs and compromise performance.*
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud using a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher grime, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight, tumble dryers) as this can damage the NIKESKIN synthetic material and soleplate.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a boot bag to protect them from dust and debris. Keep them away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Insole Care: Remove and air out the cushioned insoles periodically to prevent odor and maintain freshness.
