Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your PUMA King Match FG/AG Football Boots is straightforward. Simply `slip into the low-cut design` and lace them up securely. Ensure a snug fit that allows for full ankle mobility but prevents your foot from sliding inside the boot. A short break-in period of 2-3 light training sessions is often beneficial to allow the `super soft synthetic leather upper` to mold perfectly to your foot's unique shape, maximizing comfort and touch.
Compatibility
These boots feature an `FG/AG soleplate`, making them primarily compatible with two types of playing surfaces:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are dry to slightly damp.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Modern artificial turf surfaces.
They are not recommended for extremely soft, muddy pitches (SG - Soft Ground) or indoor court surfaces (IC - Indoor Court), as this can damage the studs and compromise traction.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Each Use: After every game or training session, remove loose dirt and grass using a soft brush or a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Wipe Down: For the `synthetic leather upper`, use a damp cloth with mild soap (if necessary) to gently wipe down the surface. Dry with a clean towel.
- Stud Cleaning: Pay attention to the `conical studs` and outsole. Ensure no mud or debris is stuck, as this can affect traction.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as excessive heat can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees or stuffing them with newspaper can help maintain their shape and absorb residual moisture.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not soak the boots in water, as this can weaken materials and adhesives.
