The Puma Deviate Nitro 4 is a high-performance trainer designed for adult runners who demand consistency and speed during daily road mileage. Featuring advanced energy-returning foam and a propulsion plate, it is an ideal choice for neutral runners looking to elevate their tempo runs or race day performance, though it may feel less cushioned for those who prefer extreme, maximalist stability.

Yes, the Deviate Nitro 4 is built for speed and efficiency, making it a capable companion for both race day and high-tempo training.
These are primarily designed for road use. While the PUMAGRIP is durable, the design is optimized for flat or paved surfaces rather than technical trails.
Typically, running shoes should be replaced every 300-500 miles, depending on your running surface and individual gait.
The Deviate Nitro 4 generally follows standard running shoe sizing, though the performance fit is snug to prevent slippage during speed work.
These are neutral trainers and do not provide heavy corrective arch support, making them best for runners with a neutral gait.
Try a different lacing technique, such as the window lacing method, to relieve tension across the bridge.
Use the runner's loop or heel-lock lacing method to increase security around the ankle.
To ensure the best experience, wear your standard running socks when testing the fit, as the engineered mesh is designed to conform closely to the foot. Because these shoes feature a technical carbon plate, it is recommended to rotate them with other shoes if you are not accustomed to rigid, plated footwear. For care, keep the shoes away from extreme heat sources like radiators to prevent midsole degradation. If they get wet or muddy, clean the upper with a soft brush and mild soap, then allow them to air dry in a well-ventilated space away from direct sunlight.
