FAQs
Are these shoes machine washable?
It is recommended to clean these shoes by hand with a damp cloth to protect the integrity of the materials and the EVA sole.
Are they suitable for wider feet?
The lace-up design allows for some adjustability in fit, though the overall construction follows a standard athletic width profile.
Can the insoles be removed?
The trainers feature a standard textile sockliner which is generally integrated into the shoe design.
Are these shoes waterproof?
These trainers are not waterproof; the textile and synthetic upper is designed for breathability and is intended for dry weather conditions.
Do they provide arch support?
The EVA unitsole provides basic cushioning and moderate support suitable for everyday activities.
Troubleshooting
Laces coming undone during activity
Ensure a double knot is used, or consider replacing with elasticated no-tie laces if the child struggles with traditional tying.
Accumulation of dirt in the sole tread
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently dislodge debris from the tread pattern.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lightweight construction prevents foot fatigue during long days of play.
- Durable synthetic and textile materials offer a long service life.
- The one-piece sole design provides consistent cushioning.
- Classic black colorway is versatile and easy to keep looking clean.
Cons
- Lace-up closure requires tying, which may be difficult for younger children compared to Velcro.
- Not specifically engineered for high-performance athletic racing or specialized sports.
- Black synthetic materials can show scuffs more clearly than lighter patterns.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting started with the Tensaur Run 4.0 is straightforward; simply loosen the laces to ensure a wide opening when slipping the foot inside, then tighten to your child's preferred comfort level. These trainers are standard fit, allowing for the use of regular athletic socks.
Care Instructions:
- Wipe the synthetic and textile upper with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt.
- Allow them to air dry naturally; avoid placing them near direct heat sources like radiators, as this may warp the EVA sole.
- If the inside becomes damp, stuff the shoes with newspaper to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
