FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

While based on performance running technology, these are classified as lifestyle trainers best suited for casual daily wear.

How do I determine the right size?

The Air Max 90 Tech is designed with a spacious toe box; choose your child's standard UK size for the best fit.

Can I put these in the washing machine?

It is not recommended. Hand cleaning with a soft brush and mild soap is safer for the materials and cushioning.

What is the benefit of the waffle outsole?

The classic waffle tread pattern provides superior grip and durability, which helps prevent slipping on smooth surfaces.

Are these shoes waterproof?

No, these trainers are made from synthetic and textile materials that are breathable but not waterproof.

Troubleshooting

Sneakers feel too tight at the toes

Loosen the lacing near the toe box and re-adjust the variable-width lacing to give the forefoot more room.

Visible dirt on the grey accents

Use a specialized sneaker cleaning foam or a gentle mix of water and mild detergent with a soft brush.

Laces coming untied frequently

Ensure a double knot is used or replace with structured performance laces if necessary.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Improved fit with extra toe box space
  • Excellent impact protection from Max Air unit
  • Natural motion provided by outsole flex grooves
  • Durable rubber outsole for long-lasting wear

Cons

  • Grey elements may show dirt more easily
  • Low-cut collar offers less ankle stability than high-top styles
  • Requires manual lacing which may be challenging for younger children

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Air Max 90 Tech trainers last, follow these maintenance tips:

  1. Fitting: Utilize the variable-width lacing eyelets to secure the midfoot properly before tying.
  2. Cleaning: Wipe away loose dirt with a soft, dry cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft-bristled brush on the synthetic and textile portions.
  3. Drying: Always air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the cushioning materials.
  4. Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place to prevent the breakdown of outsole materials.
