FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

The Salengro is lightweight and water-resistant for light conditions, but it is not a technical waterproof jacket.

Can I wear this in the middle of winter?

It is designed as a lightweight layer and is generally best for mild to cool temperatures; it may not provide enough warmth for sub-zero winter conditions.

How should I clean the jacket?

Please consult the care label inside the garment for specific instructions, typically suggesting cold, delicate machine washes or professional cleaning.

Does it run true to size?

Barbour International garments typically follow standard sizing, but it is recommended to review the size guide if you plan to wear thick layers underneath.

What does 'LW Ql' stand for in the product name?

It is an abbreviation for 'Lightweight Quilted', describing the primary construction and design style of the jacket.

Troubleshooting

Visible lint or dust on the surface

Use a soft garment brush or a lint roller to gently remove surface debris.

Creasing after storage

Steam the jacket lightly from a distance; do not apply a hot iron directly to the quilted surface.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your jacket remains in top condition, follow standard care protocols. It is recommended to follow the specific wash instructions located on the internal garment label, which usually involve a delicate cycle or hand-washing to preserve the integrity of the quilting. Avoid high-heat tumble drying, as this may compromise the synthetic insulation or outer fabric. For storage, hang the jacket on a shaped coat hanger to maintain its structure and prevent creasing. The jacket is compatible with most standard wardrobes and can be dressed up with scarves or worn with denim for a casual look.
