Johnstone's Silk Emulsion Paint in Toasted Beige is ideal for homeowners seeking a durable, elegant, and light-reflecting finish for interior walls and ceilings. This high-sheen emulsion offers excellent coverage and a long-lasting, scrub-resistant surface that stays looking new for years. While it provides a sophisticated, silky smooth appearance, users should note that the silk finish may highlight surface imperfections more readily than a matte paint, requiring thorough wall preparation before application.

Yes, Johnstone's Silk Emulsion is formulated for both interior walls and ceilings.
While it is durable and scrub-resistant, ensure the area has proper ventilation as silk finishes can sometimes be sensitive to high-humidity environments compared to specialized kitchen/bathroom paints.
The formula is quick-drying, but exact times vary by humidity and temperature; it is generally touch-dry within a few hours.
If you are painting over a drastically different color or a bare, porous surface, a primer is highly recommended for best results.
Yes, once the paint has fully cured (usually after a few weeks), it is scrub-resistant and can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
The appearance of the colour may vary slightly depending on the light reflecting properties of the silk finish and your room's natural lighting.
Ensure you maintain a 'wet edge' by rolling into the previous stroke before it begins to dry.
Sand the wall surface thoroughly to remove bumps and fill any holes with high-quality filler before repainting.
Apply a secondary coat once the first has fully dried, ensuring you do not over-spread the paint.
Before application, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose paint or dust. For optimal results, use a primer on porous or new surfaces. The paint is compatible with standard rollers and brushes designed for emulsion application. Stir the paint thoroughly before use to ensure the pigment is evenly distributed. After the job is complete, wash brushes and rollers with warm, soapy water while the paint is still wet. Store the remaining product in a cool, dry place, ensuring the lid is sealed tightly to prevent the paint from drying out over time.
