ASICS Gel-Contend 9 Trainers - Black/White - UK 10

The ASICS GEL-CONTEND 9 are designed for everyday running and general training. While they offer good cushioning, they may not provide the advanced features or specialized support required for competitive marathon running. For such events, consider ASICS models specifically engineered for long-distance racing.

The GEL™ technology is integrated into the midsole. Clean the entire shoe, including the midsole, with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid submerging the shoes or using high-pressure water, which could damage the materials.

GEL™ technology focuses on shock absorption, dispersing impact forces away from the foot. AMPLIFOAM+ provides a soft, low-density foam that enhances cushioning and creates a comfortable, supportive feel underfoot.

Yes, the GEL-CONTEND 9 can be used for general cross-training and gym workouts due to their comfortable cushioning and stable base. However, for activities requiring significant lateral support, such as advanced weightlifting or court sports, specialized training shoes might be more appropriate.

For everyday running, the shoes are typically expected to last between 300 to 500 miles. This can vary based on running surface, frequency, intensity, and individual gait.

No, the ASICS GEL-CONTEND 9 are made with engineered mesh uppers, which prioritize breathability over waterproofing. They are not designed to be waterproof and should not be used in wet conditions where dry feet are essential.

Ensure you have selected the correct shoe size. If the fit is still snug, try loosening the laces and wearing them for short periods to allow the engineered mesh to adapt.

Over time, cushioning can compress. For everyday runners, consider replacement after approximately 300-500 miles of use, or when cushioning feels significantly diminished.

Check for proper lacing technique to ensure a secure but not overly tight fit. Ensure the socks you are wearing are also appropriate for running.
