Product Information

Full details

The Regatta Sweethart Marl Half Zip Walking Fleece is an ideal choice for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking a comfortable, casual layering piece. Its key benefit lies in the combination of a warmth-retaining brushed inner lining and an anti-pill exterior that maintains its appearance over time, though it lacks a full-length zipper for those who prefer complete open-front accessibility.

FAQs

Is this fleece waterproof?

No, this garment is made of fleece and is not waterproof. It is best used as a mid-layer under a waterproof jacket.

How should I choose the right size?

This model is sized in UK dress standards. Refer to your standard blouse or sweater size for an accurate fit.

Can I iron this fleece?

Ironing is not recommended as it can damage the fleece pile and the synthetic fibers.

Is the material breathable?

Yes, the fleece material is designed to wick moisture away while providing insulation, making it breathable during active movement.

Will this fleece shrink in the wash?

When washed according to the label instructions (cool wash), the material is designed to maintain its shape and size.

Troubleshooting

The fleece surface shows minor fibers after long use

While the anti-pill treatment is robust, use a fabric shaver gently to remove any surface fluff caused by friction against backpacks.

Zip feels stiff or sticks

Ensure no loose threads are caught in the zipper teeth and wipe the track with a dry cloth to remove debris.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Retains warmth effectively due to brushed fleece interior
  • Anti-pill fabric ensures long-lasting durability
  • Lightweight and comfortable for all-day use
  • Convenient half-zip for adjustable ventilation

Cons

  • Half-zip design is less versatile than a full-zip fleece
  • Does not feature external pockets for storage
  • Not intended as a standalone waterproof outer layer

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your fleece lasts, follow these care instructions:

  1. Washing: Machine wash on a cool setting with similar colors. Avoid using biological detergents as they can break down the fleece fibers.
  2. Drying: Air dry whenever possible to preserve the fabric structure; if using a tumble dryer, choose the lowest heat setting.
  3. Compatibility: This fleece is designed to layer perfectly under heavier waterproof jackets or windbreakers, as the slim fit minimizes bunching under larger garments.
  4. Storage: Hang or fold neatly in a dry, cool place to keep the material free from deep wrinkles.
