This emulsion is intended for standard interior walls and ceilings. It is not specifically formulated for high-humidity areas like bathrooms.
If you are painting over a drastically different color or bare plaster, a primer or mist coat is highly recommended to improve adhesion.
Johnstone's Matt Emulsion is designed for quick drying, typically touch-dry within a few hours depending on room temperature and humidity.
Yes, but for large wall areas, a roller is recommended for a more even, streak-free finish.
Yes, the dried film is durable and wipeable, allowing for easy removal of light marks with a damp cloth.
Ensure you maintain a wet edge and do not over-work the paint once it begins to dry.
Darker colors often require two full coats. Ensure the first coat is fully dry before applying the second.
Surface may have been damp or dirty during application. Sand back, clean the area, and re-apply.
Before starting, ensure your walls are clean, dry, and free from loose paint or dust. For best results, use a primer on porous or bare surfaces to promote uniform absorption. When applying, use a high-quality synthetic brush for cutting in corners and a medium-pile roller for the main wall areas. To care for your finished walls, wait for the paint to fully cure before wiping with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, as these can damage the matte texture.
