HeatGear is Under Armour's signature superlight performance fabric designed to keep you cool, dry, and light in warmer conditions. Its main benefits include superior coverage without added weight, active sweat-wicking, and quick-drying properties.
The ultratight, second-skin fit of this garment is primarily designed for performance during athletic activities, supporting muscles and enhancing comfort during movement. While many find it comfortable, some may prefer a looser fit for casual, all-day wear.
The integrated anti-odor technology works by preventing the growth of odor-causing microbes on the fabric surface. This helps to keep your garment fresh and extends its wear time between washes.
Yes, its stretchy material, hybrid raglan sleeves for enhanced range of motion, and advanced moisture-wicking properties make it highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of sports, training activities, and as a base layer in various conditions.
The write-in locker tag located on the back of the neck allows you to personalize your top with your initials or a number. This feature is particularly useful for easy identification in team settings, shared locker rooms, or when owning multiple similar items.
Fabric softeners can create a coating on the technical fibers of the garment, which can hinder its ability to effectively wick away moisture and interfere with the anti-odor technology. To maintain optimal performance, it's best to avoid them.
The main body of the garment is composed of 84% polyester and 16% elastane. The mesh panels, which provide strategic ventilation, are made of 92% polyester and 8% elastane.
The HeatGear Compression Long Sleeve is designed for an ultratight, second-skin fit. While snug, it should not restrict breathing or circulation. Ensure you have selected the correct size according to Under Armour's sizing chart. If discomfort persists, a larger size might be more appropriate for your body type.
While equipped with anti-odor technology, improper washing can affect its efficacy. Always machine wash cold with like colors and avoid using fabric softeners, as they can trap odor-causing bacteria within the fibers. Consider using an athletic apparel-specific detergent.
The elastane in the fabric can be sensitive to high heat. Ensure you are tumble drying on low heat and never iron the garment. High temperatures can degrade the elastic fibers, leading to a loss of compression and fit.
This compression long sleeve requires no complex setup; simply wear it as a base layer for your athletic activities. It is compatible with virtually any sport or training regimen where moisture-wicking and muscle support are beneficial.
