Troubleshooting

Kettle not boiling

Ensure the kettle is properly seated on its base, the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet, and there is water inside.

Toaster not heating

Check that the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the browning level is set higher than '0' and the lever is fully depressed.

Uneven toasting

Ensure bread slices are centered in the slots. Try adjusting the browning setting. Clean out any crumbs that may be blocking heating elements.

Kettle switches off before boiling

This may indicate boil-dry protection has activated due to insufficient water. Ensure the water level is above the minimum mark before heating.

Toaster lever won't stay down

Ensure the toaster is plugged into a working power outlet. The mechanism is often electrically controlled and requires power to engage.
