FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

No, these are casual lifestyle trainers designed for fashion and light skating, not for long-distance running.

How do I ensure I get the right size?

The Vs Pace 2.0 series generally follows standard sizing. It is recommended to choose the UK size you typically wear in other Adidas models.

Can I put these in the washing machine?

It is not recommended, as the machine agitation and water can damage the nubuck material and the integrity of the vulcanised rubber.

What does 'vulcanised midsole' mean?

This refers to a manufacturing process where the rubber sole is bonded to the shoe at a high temperature, resulting in a more flexible and grippy feel.

Are the recycled materials durable?

Yes, Adidas ensures that all recycled materials used meet their performance and durability standards.

Troubleshooting

Material scuffing on the nubuck

Use a soft suede eraser or dry-cleaning brush to gently lift dirt and smooth the surface grain.

Laces coming undone frequently

Double-knotting the laces or ensuring they are threaded tightly through the eyelets can improve security.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Durable nubuck material
Stylish, minimalist aesthetic
Environmentally conscious design
Excellent board-feel due to vulcanised construction

Cons

Not intended for high-intensity running
May require a short break-in period for the material
Vulcanised soles have less cushioning than modern foam runners

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Vs Pace 2.0 trainers maintain their condition, follow these steps:

Cleaning: For the nubuck upper, use a specialized brush to remove surface dust. Avoid submerging the shoes in water, as this can degrade the material.
Stain Removal: Use a gentle, pH-neutral suede or nubuck cleaner for specific stains. Test a small, inconspicuous area first.
Fit: The trainers fit true to size. Ensure you wear them with thin or medium-thickness athletic socks for the best experience.
Storage: Keep your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading.
