FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

No, the Campus 00s are designed as lifestyle fashion sneakers and do not feature the technical cushioning or stability required for long-distance running.

How do I keep the white stripes clean?

Use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe the synthetic leather stripes, being careful not to let the soapy water touch the suede surrounding them.

Are these trainers unisex?

While listed with specific size variants, the aesthetic and design are unisex, suitable for any gender looking for a classic sneaker style.

Can I wash these in a washing machine?

It is not recommended to machine wash suede trainers, as the moisture and agitation can ruin the material and cause the shoes to lose their shape.

What is the primary difference between these and the original 80s Campus?

The 00s version features a refreshed, often bulkier silhouette influenced by early 2000s skate and street fashion, compared to the slimmer profile of the 80s original.

Troubleshooting

Visible dust or dry mud on the upper

Use a dry suede brush or a soft-bristled brush to gently lift and remove the particles in the direction of the nap.

Shoes feeling too tight or loose

Adjust the lacing pattern to better suit your foot shape, or consider swapping the insole if you require specific arch support.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Versatile design that works well with jeans and casual outfits
Soft interior lining ensures high levels of comfort
Durable rubber cupsole provides reliable traction
Timeless aesthetic that bridges multiple decades of style

Fit may feel different for users accustomed to high-performance athletic shoes

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Adidas Campus 00s, follow these guidelines:

Break-in Period: The trainers feature a regular fit; if you feel pressure, ensure the lace closure is adjusted to your preferred tension.
Cleaning: Use a suede-specific brush to remove dry dirt or debris. Avoid soaking the shoes in water, as this can damage the suede texture.
Protection: Apply a water-repellent spray designed for suede to protect against unexpected splashes.
Storage: Keep your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause the black dye to fade over time.
