Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Heritage shoes last as long as possible, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Initial Protection: Apply a leather-safe water and stain repellent spray before first use to create a protective barrier against the elements.
- Routine Cleaning: Wipe down the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. For deep cleaning, use a specialized leather cleaner and a soft-bristled brush.
- Lacing: Ensure the rustproof hardware is kept free of debris to maintain smooth lacing. If the laces wear out, replace them with high-quality waxed or braided cotton laces to match the original style.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources, which can cause the leather to crack over time.
