Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Canine HA Hypoallergenic Mousse is a specialized wet diet formulated for dogs struggling with maldigestion, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, or food sensitivities. By utilizing a single, hydrolyzed protein source with a low molecular weight, this mousse helps minimize the risk of adverse immune responses, though it requires strict veterinary supervision and should not be used as a standard over-the-counter diet for healthy dogs.

You must consult your veterinarian. While this is a clinical diet, nutritional requirements for puppies are specific and may require additional supplementation.
This is specifically formulated for food intolerances. It will not necessarily treat environmental allergies (like pollen or grass).
Veterinary check-ups are recommended at least every 6 months to monitor your dog's progress and health.
Only if your veterinarian recommends it, as adding outside food could introduce allergens that counteract the therapeutic benefits.
It is a prescription-level diet intended to manage specific medical conditions; using it without a diagnosis could mask underlying health issues.
Try warming the mousse slightly to room temperature to increase its aroma or mix in a very small amount of warm water.
Slow down the transition process by mixing a smaller ratio of the new food with their previous diet for a longer period.
Discontinue use of the diet and contact your veterinarian immediately for a reassessment.
Before transitioning your dog to this food, consult your veterinarian to confirm it is the appropriate choice for your pet's specific medical history. Always transition to the new food slowly over 5-7 days to prevent further digestive upset. Store cans in a cool, dry place and refrigerate any unused portions for up to 48 hours. Ensure your dog has constant access to fresh, clean water. Do not add other proteins or treats unless explicitly approved by your veterinarian, as cross-contamination can interfere with the therapeutic goals of this diet.
