Product Information

Full details

The Tangle Teezer Complete Carebrush is a multi-functional hair tool specifically designed for individuals with fine hair who want to detangle, smooth, and add shine in a single step. By utilizing patented flow-dynamic teeth that minimize resistance, this brush significantly reduces hair breakage and provides a gentle scalp massage during use. While it is highly effective for daily maintenance, users should be aware that its specialized tooth configuration is optimized for fine hair textures rather than extremely thick or coiled hair types.

FAQs

Is this brush safe for use on wet hair?

Yes, the Tangle Teezer Complete Carebrush is specifically designed to be safe and effective on both wet and dry hair.

Can I use this on thick or curly hair?

While it can detangle, this model is specifically engineered for fine hair; those with very thick or tight coils may prefer models designed for higher resistance.

How often should I clean the brush?

We recommend removing loose hair after every use and performing a deep wash with mild shampoo once every two weeks.

Does it cause static electricity?

The material is designed to minimize resistance, which generally helps keep static at bay compared to traditional nylon-bristle brushes.

Is the handle ergonomic?

The brush is designed with a seamless shape that fits naturally in the palm, offering excellent control during the brushing process.

Troubleshooting

Teeth appear bent after exposure to extreme heat.

Avoid using the brush in direct contact with high-heat styling tools like straighteners or curling irons, as the plastic teeth are not heat-resistant.

Brush feels slippery when used in the shower.

Ensure your hands are clear of heavy conditioning oils before use, or rinse the brush handle to remove excess product buildup.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Significantly reduces breakage in fine hair
  • Dual-action teeth provide both detangling and polishing
  • Large head allows for faster, more efficient brushing
  • Lightweight and travel-friendly mocha design
  • Gentle enough for daily scalp stimulation

Cons

  • Not primarily designed for very thick or coarse hair textures
  • Requires regular cleaning to remove hair and product buildup
  • Surface may show scratches if tossed loosely in a cluttered bag

Setup, Compatibility & Care

There is no setup required for the Tangle Teezer; it is ready to use immediately out of the packaging. It is highly compatible with all hair lengths as long as the hair texture is fine.

Care Instructions:

  1. Regularly remove shed hair trapped in the teeth using a clean, fine-toothed comb.
  2. Wash the brush periodically using warm water and a small amount of mild shampoo.
  3. Avoid submerging the brush in harsh chemical cleaners or boiling water.
  4. Allow the brush to air dry completely with the teeth facing upward after washing to ensure longevity.
