Full details

The Tangle Teezer The Complete Carebrush is an ideal solution for those with straight to wavy hair who want to detangle, smooth, and add shine while promoting scalp health. By combining innovative teeth technology with an ergonomic design, this tool effectively minimizes breakage and tugging during your daily grooming routine. While it offers versatile wet and dry hair performance, it is specifically optimized for straight to wavy hair types, so those with very tight curls or highly textured coils may require a more specialized tool.

FAQs

Can I use this brush on wet hair?

Yes, it is specifically designed to be safe and effective on both wet and dry hair.

Is this brush suitable for curly hair?

While it is designed for straight to wavy hair, it can be used on looser curls, though those with very tight coils may prefer a brush specifically designed for high-texture hair.

How do I clean my Tangle Teezer?

Rinse with warm water and a small amount of mild shampoo. Rinse thoroughly and let it air dry with the teeth pointing upward.

Does it work for kids?

Yes, its gentle detangling action makes it a popular choice for children who are sensitive to pulling during hair brushing.

Can I use this with a hair dryer?

It is recommended to avoid using the brush in direct contact with very high heat from a hairdryer to protect the teeth, though it can be used for light styling.

Troubleshooting

Brush feels difficult to pull through heavy knots

Ensure you are starting at the bottom of the hair section and working upward toward the root to break down tangles gradually.

Excessive hair accumulation in the brush head

Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to remove hair from the base of the bristles after each brushing session to prevent buildup.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Reduces breakage during the detangling process
Works effectively on both wet and dry hair
Provides a soothing scalp massage during use
Larger brush head allows for faster styling sessions
Ergonomic handle ensures better control and grip

Cons

Not specifically designed for very tight curls or coils
Large head size may be less portable for travel compared to compact versions
Plastic bristles can wear down over long-term intensive use

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This brush requires no setup—it is ready to use immediately out of the box. It is fully compatible with all hair lengths, though it is best suited for straight to wavy textures. To ensure the longevity of your brush, keep it clean by removing loose hair from the teeth after every use. For deeper cleaning, rinse the brush with warm water and a mild shampoo, then shake off excess water and allow it to air dry with the teeth facing upward. Avoid leaving the brush in direct, high-heat sources like a scorching radiator, as this can cause the synthetic bristles to warp over time.
