Product Information

Full details

The Arthouse Oriental Floral Birds Wallpaper is an ideal choice for homeowners looking to introduce a serene, nature-inspired aesthetic to their living space through a sophisticated blue and grey palette. Featuring an intricate design of blossom flowers, bamboo stalks, and elegant birds, this wallpaper works beautifully as either a striking feature wall or a cohesive wrap for an entire room. While the visual impact is high, please note that it requires a traditional paste-the-paper application method, which may be more time-intensive than modern paste-the-wall alternatives.

FAQs

What is the pattern repeat for this wallpaper?

The wallpaper features a 64cm pattern repeat with a 32cm offset match.

Can this wallpaper be used in a bathroom?

This wallpaper is not specifically listed as moisture-resistant, so it is recommended for use in dry rooms like bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways.

Does this require paste?

Yes, this is a 'paste-the-paper' product, meaning you must apply adhesive to the back of the wallpaper before installation.

What are the dimensions of one roll?

Each roll is 53cm wide and 10.05m long.

Is this suitable for a beginner?

While the design is classic, the offset pattern match does require a bit more planning and precision during installation compared to random-match wallpapers.

Troubleshooting

Visible seams between wallpaper strips

Ensure that the paste was applied evenly to the edges and that you allowed for the correct soaking time; use a seam roller gently to press edges flat.

Air bubbles trapped under the paper

Use a soft wallpaper smoothing tool to work bubbles toward the nearest edge; if a large bubble persists, carefully prick it with a pin and smooth out.

Pattern does not align correctly

Verify the offset match is set to 32cm; ensure each new strip is cut with the correct allowance for the 64cm repeat pattern.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Modern blue and grey colorway fits various interior styles
High-quality print finish

Cons

Requires traditional paste-the-paper application
Off-set pattern match requires more careful measurement and cutting
Not suitable for high-moisture areas like bathrooms

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before you begin, ensure your walls are clean, dry, and smooth.

Preparation: Prime the wall with a suitable wallpaper primer to ensure proper adhesion.
Measurement: Due to the 64cm pattern repeat and 32cm offset match, measure your wall height carefully and add 10cm to the top and bottom for trimming.
Application: Use a high-quality wallpaper paste. Apply evenly to the paper, "book" the paper (fold it paste-to-paste) and let it soak briefly.
Alignment: Start from a corner and align the pattern carefully at the seams, using a smoothing tool to remove air pockets from the center outward.
Care: Keep the surface clean by gently wiping with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing to preserve the color vibrancy.
