Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Nike Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite LV8 FG boots are ready for play right out of the box. Simply unlace, slide your foot in, and lace them up to your desired tightness. For optimal fit and comfort, ensure the laces are snug but not overly restrictive. It is recommended to break in new boots during light training sessions before competitive matches to adapt to their feel.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are firm or slightly wet. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very hard surfaces may lead to premature wear of the studs and potentially reduce performance and comfort. They are designed for adult males, though their performance benefits are applicable to any player requiring high-speed capabilities on firm ground.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on muddy pitches, gently tap the boots together to remove excess dirt. Use a soft brush or damp cloth to wipe down the upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the boot's materials, especially the Gripknit.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to shrink, crack, or warp.
- Chrome Elements: Please be aware that the shimmering chrome finish on the soleplate and Swoosh is cosmetic and may wear off during play. This is a normal occurrence and will not affect the performance or durability of the product.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled paper inside to help maintain their shape.
