No, machine washing can damage the specialized ABZORB cushioning materials. Stick to hand cleaning with a damp cloth.
ABZORB is a proprietary foam material that provides excellent shock absorption, helping to reduce impact on joints.
The New Balance 2000 Lace has a standard width profile; we recommend trying them on to ensure the arch and width match your child's foot shape.
While they are comfortable for casual play and walking, they are primarily lifestyle trainers and are not specifically designed for intensive professional sports training.
You should have about a thumb's width of space between the longest toe and the front of the shoe to allow for natural foot swelling and movement.
Ensure the laces are tied with a double knot for extra security, or swap to high-friction replacement laces.
Use a soft brush or compressed air to gently remove pebbles or dirt from the cushioning gaps in the sole.
Check that the laces are tightened firmly across the midfoot area to provide better lockdown.
To ensure a proper fit, always measure your child's feet while wearing the type of socks they intend to use with the shoes. For care, keep these trainers in good condition by wiping the exterior with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat and submersion can compromise the integrity of the foam cushioning and the structural adhesives. If the shoes become damp, air-dry them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources like radiators.
