Setup, Compatibility & Care
To get started, ensure your child wears appropriate football socks for comfort and to prevent blisters. Loosen the laces, slide the foot into the boot, and then tighten the laces evenly, securing them with a knot that won't come undone during play. A snug fit is crucial for optimal ball control and to prevent foot movement within the boot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This includes natural grass fields that are relatively dry and firm. While they may offer some grip on slightly softer natural surfaces, their performance is optimized for firm conditions. They are generally not recommended for artificial turf (AG) or very soft/muddy ground (SG) as this can reduce performance and accelerate wear.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of these boots. Always refer to the product label for specific care instructions, as these are the most accurate. Generally, after each use:
- Clean the Boots: Wipe off any mud or dirt with a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Remove Insole: If removable, take out the insoles to air them out, which helps prevent odors.
- Air Dry: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the synthetic material.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
