Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the boots are laced snugly but not too tightly. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, pulling the laces firmly to secure the foot. Double-knot for security during play.
- Initial Wear: It's advisable for your child to wear the boots for short periods around the house or during light practice before a full game. This helps break them in and adapt to the foot's shape, reducing the chance of discomfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are ideal for natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very soft/muddy ground (SG) may affect their performance, durability, and potentially cause discomfort or injury due to the unsuitable stud configuration.
Care Instructions
Proper care extends the lifespan and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, wipe off any dirt, mud, or debris from the upper and sole with a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, a soft brush can be used on the sole.
- Remove Insole: If possible, remove the insoles to allow them and the boot's interior to air out and dry completely, preventing odor buildup.
- Air Dry: Do not dry the boots in direct sunlight, on a radiator, or with a hairdryer, as extreme heat can damage the materials. Instead, stuff them lightly with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain shape, then leave them to air dry at room temperature.
- Avoid Submerging: Do not machine wash or fully submerge the boots in water.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct heat or humidity.
- Refer to Label: Always check the product label inside the boot for specific care instructions provided by adidas.
