FAQs

Can this light be used in a bathroom?

While it is durable, please check specific IP ratings for your model; the standard range is best suited for dry living areas like bedrooms, hallways, and lounges.

Does the reflector determine the light color?

Yes, the silver reflector produces a cooler light, while the gold reflector creates a warmer, more inviting glow.

Can I mount this fixture vertically?

Yes, the In The Tube series is designed for versatile mounting on both walls and ceilings in various orientations.

What materials are used in its construction?

The fixture is made from borosilicate glass, aluminum stoppers sealed with silicon, and stainless-steel mounts.

Who designed this lighting collection?

The collection was designed by Dominique Perrault and Gaelle Lauriot-Prevost.

Is the light output adjustable?

Yes, you can adjust the light output by repositioning the internal mesh filter or the internal metallic reflector.

Troubleshooting

Uneven light distribution

Adjust the internal position of the mesh filter or the angle of the internal metallic reflector to ensure even light diffusion.

Light flickering

Check all electrical connections at the base and ensure the lamp is fully seated in its socket.

External glass looks cloudy

Use a microfiber cloth with a small amount of non-abrasive glass cleaner to gently remove dust or fingerprints.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the In The Tube light involves mounting the stainless-steel brackets securely to the wall or ceiling. Given the weight and the delicate nature of the borosilicate glass tube, we recommend professional installation to ensure all components are sealed correctly. To maintain the fixture, gently wipe the outer glass surface with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as these can scratch the glass. Ensure the silicon seals remain intact during any maintenance to preserve the structural integrity of the tube.
