The Craghoppers Compresslite IX Hooded Insulating Jacket is designed for adult outdoor enthusiasts seeking reliable warmth without the bulk of traditional heavy coats. Featuring down-like insulation and a water-repellent H2OShield finish, this jacket excels as a versatile layering piece for hiking or travel; however, users should note that while it provides significant thermal protection, it is primarily intended for mild to cool conditions rather than extreme arctic environments.

It is water-repellent, meaning it can handle light rain and mist, but it is not fully waterproof for heavy or prolonged rain.
Simply fold or roll the jacket tightly and feed it into the internal pocket or the provided separate stuff sack.
Yes, machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle with mild detergent. Do not bleach or tumble dry on high heat.
The hood features elasticated binding for a snug, secure fit, but it does not have adjustable drawstrings.
The jacket is constructed from high-quality, durable polyester with synthetic down-like insulation.
Give the jacket a vigorous shake and let it air out for a few hours to allow the synthetic fill to regain its loft.
The H2OShield treatment may have worn off. Reapply a spray-on durable water repellent (DWR) treatment to restore the water-shedding performance.
To maximize the life of your jacket, ensure you shake it out after removing it from the stuff sack to help the insulation loft properly. For cleaning, use a gentle cycle with mild detergent; avoid fabric softeners, as these can strip the H2OShield water-repellent finish. The jacket is designed for standard layering; it fits comfortably under a technical shell during wetter, harsher conditions. When not in use for extended periods, store the jacket hanging rather than compressed in the stuff sack to maintain the insulation's long-term performance.
