Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your adidas Mundial Team trainers is straightforward:
- Lace Up: Undo the laces and slide your foot into the trainer. Adjust your foot position for maximum comfort.
- Tighten Laces: Starting from the bottom eyelets, gradually pull the laces to achieve a snug, yet comfortable fit. Avoid overtightening, which can restrict blood flow and cause discomfort.
- Double Knot: Secure the laces with a double knot to prevent them from coming undone during play.
Compatibility
These trainers are specifically designed for:
- Artificial Turf (Astro Turf)
- Hard Ground Surfaces
- Street Football
They are not optimally designed for natural grass pitches, where firm ground (FG) or soft ground (SG) studs would typically be required for best performance and grip.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Mundial Team trainers:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off any dirt or mud using a damp cloth. For tougher stains on the leather, use a specialist leather cleaner. For suede sections, a suede brush can help remove dried dirt.
- Drying: Allow trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as these can dry out and crack the leather.
- Conditioning (Leather): Periodically apply a leather conditioner to the leather sections to keep them supple and prevent cracking. Follow the product instructions for application.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, you can use shoe deodorizers or place baking soda inside the trainers overnight to absorb smells.
