The Trespass Abbott Softshell Gilet is designed for active adults who need a versatile, lightweight layering piece for hiking, cycling, or daily errands. It provides an effective balance of weather protection and breathability thanks to its integrated TPU membrane; however, users should note that as a sleeveless garment, it is best suited for core warmth rather than extreme full-body environmental defense.

It features a TPU membrane that offers significant wind and light weather protection, but it is not classified as fully waterproof for heavy downpours.
Yes, its low-profile design is specifically engineered to function as a mid-layer under larger jackets without adding excessive bulk.
Use a gentle machine wash cycle with mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener, as this can damage the protective membrane.
The secure zip pockets are designed to hold standard-sized smartphones and everyday essentials like keys securely.
The garment is constructed from high-quality, durable polyester with an integrated TPU membrane.
No, the Abbott Gilet is a sleeveless, collar-focused design with an integrated chin guard for neck protection.
Clear any debris or fabric caught in the teeth and gently work the slider back and forth. You can apply a light wax lubricant if the issue persists.
The DWR finish may have worn off. Wash the garment and apply a dedicated technical fabric re-waterproofing spray to restore its performance.
To ensure the longevity of the Abbott Gilet, always consult the internal garment care label. Generally, this polyester-based softshell should be washed on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can compromise the integrity of the TPU membrane and reduce its weather-resistant properties. To maintain the water-repellent finish, ensure it is dried properly and occasionally treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray if water stops beading on the surface. For storage, hang the gilet on a wide-shouldered hanger to maintain its shape.
