The Trespass Abbott Softshell Gilet is a versatile, lightweight layering piece designed for adult men who need reliable core warmth during outdoor activities like hiking or cycling. Its primary benefit is the integrated TPU membrane that provides essential weather resistance while maintaining a low-profile fit. While it is excellent for active movement and layering, users should note that the softshell material is designed for wind and light moisture protection rather than heavy, prolonged downpours.

It is water-resistant thanks to the TPU membrane, but it is not fully waterproof. It will handle light rain but will eventually soak through in heavy or persistent downpours.
Yes, its low-profile, slim design makes it an ideal mid-layer for wearing underneath a larger jacket or waterproof shell.
The Abbott Softshell Gilet is constructed from durable polyester fabric.
Wash on a cool, gentle cycle without fabric softener, and hang to air dry.
The gilet features secure external zip pockets for your essentials.
Check for debris or fabric caught in the teeth and apply a small amount of silicone lubricant or rub a pencil lead along the teeth to improve movement.
The protective DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating may have worn off; apply a spray-on waterproofing treatment designed for technical softshell fabrics.
Because this is a garment, 'setup' involves ensuring the correct size for your build to maximize the benefits of the slim-fit design. To care for your gilet, machine wash it in cool water on a gentle cycle. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can interfere with the performance of the TPU membrane. Always zip the garment closed before washing to protect the teeth of the zipper and hang it to air dry, avoiding direct heat sources like radiators to preserve the fabric's integrity.
