The Barbour B.Li Icons Beadnell Jacket is a quintessential piece of outdoor-inspired fashion designed for women who value heritage, durability, and a classic feminine silhouette. Crafted from signature Thornproof waxed cotton, this jacket offers excellent protection against wind and light rain, making it an ideal choice for transitional weather and countryside outings; however, users should be aware that the waxed finish requires periodic maintenance to retain its water-repellent properties.

No, you should never machine wash or dry clean a waxed cotton jacket as it will ruin the wax coating.
Depending on usage, it is recommended to re-wax your jacket once a year to maintain its weatherproofing properties.
It is highly water-resistant, meaning it will protect you from light rain and wind, but it is not intended for heavy, sustained downpours.
The standard Beadnell style typically features the collar design; some models allow for a detachable hood, but please verify your specific unit's inclusions.
Store it on a sturdy hanger in a cool, dry place with good airflow, away from direct heat sources.
The jacket likely needs a fresh application of wax dressing to restore the protective barrier.
Use a soft sponge or cloth dampened with cold water; do not use soaps or detergents.
Waxed cotton naturally softens with wear; frequent movement and body heat will help the fabric conform to your shape over time.
This jacket does not require 'setup' but does require long-term care to maintain its functionality. Avoid dry cleaning or machine washing the jacket, as this will strip away the protective wax coating. To clean, use a damp cloth and cold water to wipe away mud or dirt. Periodically, you should re-wax the cotton fabric using Barbour’s specific wax dressing to ensure the water-repellent seal remains intact. When storing, keep the jacket in a cool, well-ventilated area to prevent mildew from developing on the wax finish.
