Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure your kitchen walls are clean, dry, and free from any loose material, dust, or grease. Fill any cracks or holes and sand smooth. For previously painted surfaces, ensure they are sound; lightly sand glossy surfaces to provide a key for the new paint.
- Stir Thoroughly: Before and during use, stir the paint well to ensure a consistent colour and finish.
- Application: Apply the paint evenly with a brush or roller. Work in sections, ensuring a smooth, consistent coat.
- Allow Drying: Info needed: [Allow the recommended drying time between coats.] Apply a second coat if necessary for full coverage and depth of colour.
Compatibility
This paint is specifically designed for interior kitchen walls and ceilings. Its properties also make it suitable for other high-humidity areas like bathrooms. It is compatible with standard plaster, plasterboard, and previously painted surfaces, provided they are properly prepared. Johnstone's Kitchen Emulsion Paint is available in a variety of other colours, including White, Cream, Beige, Blue, and Green, allowing for diverse interior design choices.
Care & Maintenance
To clean painted surfaces, simply use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap and water. Thanks to its high washability, most stains and spills will wipe away easily without scrubbing. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh scrubbing pads, as these can damage the finish.
