Product Information

Full details

The Hisense 50E78STUK PRO is a versatile 50-inch 4K QLED television designed for gamers, cinephiles, and streaming enthusiasts who want premium visual performance. Its primary advantage lies in the combination of a native 144Hz refresh rate, AI-enhanced picture processing, and wide-ranging HDR support, ensuring fluid motion and vivid colors for any content. One caveat to keep in mind is that while it features excellent gaming specs, its peak potential is best realized with high-speed HDMI 2.1 sources and compatible current-generation consoles or PCs.

Troubleshooting

Screen appears blurry during fast action

Ensure 'Game Mode' or 'Sports Mode' is enabled and that AI Smooth Motion is set to your preference in the picture settings.

Not achieving 144Hz refresh rate

Verify that you are using a certified HDMI 2.1 cable and that the device (PC or console) is configured to output 144Hz at 4K resolution.

TV not connecting to Wi-Fi

Restart your router and the television. Ensure the date and time settings on the TV are accurate, as incorrect times can cause handshake errors.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Native 144Hz refresh rate for fluid gameplay
Comprehensive HDR support including Dolby Vision and HDR10+
AI-powered picture and light adjustment
Broad compatibility with current-gen gaming tech via HDMI 2.1
Integrated Smart TV platform with popular streaming apps

Cons

Requires high-quality cables to maximize 144Hz output
Fixed leg stand design offers limited flexibility
Standard contrast ratio of 3800:1 may be outperformed by high-end OLED panels

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin your setup, ensure you use a VESA-compatible wall mount (400 x 300 mm) if not using the included leg stands. Connect your high-speed devices to the HDMI 2.1 ports to ensure full bandwidth for 4K 144Hz content. Use a stable wired Ethernet connection for the best streaming experience, though the integrated Wi-Fi is sufficient for most home networks. To clean the screen, use only a soft, dry microfibre cloth; avoid using water or household chemicals, as these can damage the anti-glare coatings. Regularly check for firmware updates within the `VIDAA` operating system menu to keep your apps and smart features current.
