FAQs

Can these cable ties be reused?

No, these are designed for a single-use locking mechanism and must be cut to be removed.

Are these safe for outdoor use?

Yes, they are constructed from anti-erosion, heat-resistant materials suitable for outdoor environments.

What is the maximum diameter I can secure?

These ties can accommodate objects with diameters ranging from 3mm up to 105mm.

Do I need a tensioning tool?

While a tensioning tool can be used for professional uniformity, they can be easily tightened by hand.

What does the UL 94V-2 rating mean?

It indicates that the material meets specific standards for flammability resistance, meaning it will self-extinguish within a short period if ignited.

Troubleshooting

Tie does not lock securely

Ensure the tapered end is inserted into the head with the ridges facing inward toward the locking tab.

Tie snaps during tightening

Check if the load exceeds 22kg or if the tie is being bent sharply over a thin, abrasive edge.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High weight capacity of 22kg
Suitable for harsh outdoor and indoor conditions
Generous 400mm length for large bundles
UL 94V-2 flammability certification
Easy to trim for a tidy appearance

Cons

Single-use only
Requires scissors or cutters for removal
Cannot be reused once tightened

Setup, Compatibility & Care

No special tools are required for installation, as the self-locking mechanism activates automatically upon tightening. For best results, ensure the cable bundle is arranged cleanly before tensioning. While the materials are resistant to heat and environmental wear, avoid exposing the ties to sharp metal edges that could cause fraying over time. To remove, use safety scissors or side cutters, taking care not to damage the underlying cables or surfaces during the process.
